Catching Up, 3.20

Writing this from a sunny Saturday in Southern California where the freeways are wide open and everything is basically shut down due to the Coronavirus. Frankly it is scary and a bit beyond comprehension. I’ve been working from home this last week and it seems that will be the new norm for some time. For Beth’s sake I’ve not started an EOTWAWKI movie marathon.

The new WFH office - don’t knock my old Ikea plastic chair!

This post is mostly to mark the moment and to keep some continuity going on the blog here. For the last couple of months I have had a good time writing for the ToyPhotographers.com blog. I’ve really enjoyed this new subject and learning/experimenting and documenting along the way - much to the chagrin of this blog. You can follow along with that creative thread here.

Enter the Puppy

The day we brought Gabby home, back in December. It turns out we are those people that get a new pet on Christmas Day.

Gabby was disappointed with the Superbowl.

From the get-go, we wanted Gabby to be a happy traveler so she started going for rides with us as often as possible. Today she loves “getting dressed” with her harness to go for a ride. Once she gets settled down into her seat (after some amazing and obnoxious noises) she does great in the car or truck.

The Procrastinated Paintings

A few months after the fact, here’s a series of cloud studies I worked up. Posting these as mostly a reminder to myself to not procrastinate starting a painting…

Short and sweet. Stay safe, stay sane.
