Pre-5.11

This assortment of work gives a wider view of some previous brand work. Looking back through your old work can be heartwarming, and on occasion humbling. These are an assortment of favorite and memorable logos and many of these had related projects like brand identity systems, websites, interactive CDs (!) and assorted print marketing materials.

Information is everything - This is one project that will always stand out in my memory. At the time I worked for a software company (Synovation) who served the public safety market with case management software. One of the standout projects I tackled was developing a visually interesting and informative “Entity Relationship Diagram”. Essentially diagramming database entities with their related fields so that the development and sales teams could have conversations internally and with our clients at the time. If I recall correctly, these printed out to be 10 or 12’ long during onboarding sessions and were emblazoned with marker and highlighter notes with each version.

Early Web and Interactive CDs - A blast from the past and hand-coded in HTML and (GASP!) Flash. Today’s digital environments are so much richer and immersive than the days of business-card CDs and static web pages, lol. Glad to have experienced them all., here are just a few snapshots. During that time, I was blessed with clients such as the California Almond Board, the Ernest & Julio Gallo Wineries (International) and others with whom lasting friendships were developed.

“Good creative process takes practice.”
