Hey, I’m an award-winning woodcarver ;)
The Quest ‘26 won people’s choice and the CCA Merit Award at the Rocky Mountain Carvers Roundup - happy and jazzed about that.
#275, The Quest ‘26
26.04 For the Rocky Mountain Woodcarvers Roundup next month I wanted to bring something to show my progress from the last year. I started with some sketches and then began shaping blocks about a month ago. Getting the scale of figures sorted out took some iteration, and the drawings are just a starting point. I find lots of changes once I start cutting, plenty more to figure out there…
Anyway, here it is: “TheQuest26”, carved in basswood and painted with artist grade acrylics. Measures approximately 9.5” x 12” x 16”.
