A team, big or small, can’t run efficiently without good process - and that takes practice. A project’s success hinges on good direction, clear priorities and the team pulling in one direction. Timelines, resources, project goals and team priorities need to be considered and aligned with the big picture.
A proofing platform plays a critical role in good process. Who is included in a proof and for what purposes should be identified early in the process. That enables expectations to be set and met. Where does the finished file live? How is it named? Where are the source files saved? How does someone find ‘that one project you did’ six months down the road? An SOP document can provide guidelines that allow flexibility and guidance on best practices. Keep it simple and revisit it as needed.
